Antra Sinha began her artistic path in 1994 in New Delhi, later earning BFA and MFA degrees in painting from MS University of Baroda (2002). She then spent a decade apprenticing with Ray Meeker and Deborah Smith at Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry, India, where she taught workshops, supported both production and studio work, and built deep expertise in wood firing and kiln design—working with downdraft, noborigama, and anagama kilns and eventually designing and building kilns herself.

Her career expanded internationally through residencies, conferences, and major firings across Japan, Australia, Bali, Germany, Denmark, and beyond. Highlights include a 2008 Japan Foundation award to study at Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, the development of her signature sculpture Tetrarc (purchased by the Hyatt Regency Chennai in 2009), and multiple presentations on wood firing and her own sculptural work. She later founded her Earth Art studio in Pondicherry, pursued an MFA in ceramics at Utah State University on a STEM scholarship, and received several recognitions (including NCECA Multicultural Fellow and USU research and teaching awards). She served on the NCECA Collaboration and Engagement Committee from 2021-23 and as an on-site conference Liaison for the 59th conference in Salt Lake City. She is currently Gallery Coordinator and Art Instructor at Utah State University and Artaxis' International Coordinator on the Board of Directors.
