Artist Statement:
After experiencing the loss of my mother, my work has been deeply influenced by personal relationships. Grief, memories, family videos, photos, and objects all influence the trajectory of my work as I attempt to connect and understand my past in relation to my adult emotions and fears. My studio practice questions and embraces the life of objects, things, materiality, the tangled nature of relationships and collective memories, and the everyday complexities of life.
